This week we are offering the beginnings of a tasty stir-fry for only £2: you get two of our home-grown pak chois plus enough ginger to flavour them.
Try a handful for £1.50. They might look like tiny oranges but you can eat them whole including the skin and seeds. The tangy citrus centre is surrounded by a surprisingly sweet skin. Thanks for your tips on how to use them – the consensus seems to be make marmalade with or without the addition of lemons.
It helps us a lot – and you are more likely to get what you order – if you can place your order or let me know of any changes by Sunday of the previous week. We are pleased to report that our customer numbers are increasing steadily but it is becoming harder and harder for us to accommodate late orders and changes. Thanks for your help with this.
Become a volunteer gardener at Low Luckens and learn all our gardening secrets! Help us to choose the right varieties, sow the seeds, plant out seedlings, feed them, water them and as they grow, protect them from adverse weather, weeds, pests and diseases, tend to their every need, love them and in the fullness of time, harvest them. A major theme for us is to work with soil to produce healthy crops but also to feed soil life, sequester carbon and thereby create a lasting healthy soil structure. The methods we use can be applied easily to your garden or allotment. Get in touch if you are interested by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
